Connection Refused: connect
« on: March 26, 2012, 12:24:02 am »
Connection refused: connect. this is what i get when i try to join the mumble server. I dont know it is not letting me on. Is it because of some port(that i have no idea about)? do you have to be a special rank to go on? ??? can someone please tell me! thanks!

make sure the IP is "mumble.opticraft.net" and the port is "64738". There is no rank to get on mumble, its purely free for everyone. You may have been IP-banned or something. If so, a mod/admin might be able to check for you.

do I type the port in with the ip or just mumble.opticraft.net and I know my ip hasn't been banned because I have never been on mumble and have no ban history on smp

No. There should be 2 seperate boxes for the "address" and the "port". Put mumble.opticraft.net in the "address" box and 64738 in the "port" box. Then set your nickname (brightpickles or something) and you should be able to get on.

Hope i helped!

Do I type the server ip and port in a certain place  instead of in the direct connect and add server slot because there is no port box in there just the ip? This is my last question

lol. Mumble is a voice chat program that runs completely separately from minecraft.

You must download the mumble client here http://www.mumble.com/
