Poll

Would you be interested in helping straightening up the entrance to build area for our newcomers to have a better first impression of the server?

Yes, that sounds like a great idea because I Love This Server and would like it to get more votes
No, its a waste of time
No, I'd rather be doing my own thing
I don't care

Helping Clean up -Poll-
« on: March 24, 2012, 02:54:32 pm »
When I first saw the server build area, I thought an Elite Noob Bomb went off, but I love this server, no offense. Its definitely expected because its the first thing newcomers (a lot of them may come with bad intentions) can build on. But just to make the server look better (and maybe even a few votes) for the newcomers that aren't looking to muck things up, I would like to help clean up the entrance to the build area, at least what I can. Just seeing everyone's opinion =]

I always try to fix up the area at the end of the north path whenever I can.

But don't think too much into your plan, we have a solution coming... sometime. maybe 2 weeks.

For now, we aren't able to do much except spawn in the materials, because guess what would happen if we were to use //regen on those entry areas as of right now?

You tell people not to build at the end of the spawn, and what do they do?

Yea, I didn't mean any regening or anything. All hands on, manual, fill in the blanks and smooth everything out kinda fixing. =] Even if someone just goes through and does a little damage later on, trying to build a home and someone coming through later and griefing it. I think we should kinda keep it groomed, you know?

I agree that it looks terrible and is bad, but this is not a solution.

We need to prevent people from all building in a single spot, and help make sure the areas don't get wrecked. This requires a fundamental change, and we are looking at doing something to help this soon.

What if spawn is extended an extra hundred blocks or so with nothing built on it? just so its out of viewing range from where the end of it is.

I was thinking that maybe people would have to walk let's say 150 blocks from spawn to be able to build. Then again that could be too much.
