What did you think first? (kind of forum game)

It's in the title basically. What did you think when you first saw opticraft either SMP or classic or both.

So i'll start.

SMP:This was the server I had ever played on after I bought the game everything was new the castle the brick smooth stone and of course the glowstone. I thought "this is the server for me".

Classic: the first thing I saw was the SoL and loads of people either spamming or screaming "ADMIN! ADMIN I BEING GRIEFED!" I looked at my friend Craig who introduced me this server and he just said that's it's a good server when you get to build and stuff.

SMP: woah its so empty.. cant wait till they update the server and i can go on with the new client!

Classic: i see a wall surrounding spawn.. i see someone built a swastica.. im gonna go break it and replace it with a welcome sign..

Classic Opticraft:When I entered Opticraft, I saw the amazing buildings! SoL, the sprites, and everything else! So, what I first thought was that, if I play on this server, I would be addicted to minecraft.

Warning: The Following stories may be way too over-dramatized then they should be.


Classic: Never will I see such beauty and effort put into anything as the SoL map. This is my first minecraft server and it seems that the directions are clear and the staff are awesome. So this place ranks you based on building? hmm I don't know if I can build but let me be a member. *becomes a member*. *has some lazy but fun times and gets to know his "first mods": Psyko, Lucho (Complicated_Name), and xDeekay*. Super awesome staff, I said...I don't think I'll ever leave this server....*identity more known; makes a lot of new member/trusted friends; these friends inspire dj to build a recruit worthy build*. And then I built the cube. It was just a shape, not design or walls or any filling. Impishmonkey and several others gave me an idea to continue it. So I worked hard at it. My end result was a cube with 4 walls depicting the 4 seasons as they progress on a tree. Mr_Mr_Mr promotes me without a word nor much inspection; he very much liked it. That's my story from beginning to recruit . Final thoughts: Classic is always the original Opticraft server for me. I'll never forget how inspiring some of the builds are and how much fun I had on there.  Classic beats SMP anyday, anytime!

SMP: I can't believe someone was nice enough to give me the opportunity to play smp. I don't have premium and this wouldn't be my own account but nevertheless, I get to see the glory of Opticraft SMP. This is nice. Already so many people wow. Gets on mumble and meets some players. Oh cool some mods are showing me around and helping me get fitted. I have my name registered on the forums to be member. With all the stuff I received, plus several gifts from people, I am offered the abandoned castle of PersianSkitty. I accept and settle myself in, planning to one day fix the place up to its former glory. Play around on the server for a few nights and I'm recommended on mumble for the rank of trusted. I'm surprised, but I've already been promoted, so I can't make much protest or argument. I start to gain an independence finally as the days go by and  I mine,explore and sell on my own. One day, I decide to buy myself a few buckets and start helping players with water. Soon I get the hang of it and work much faster. Now I enjoy helping players whenever I can. Final thoughts: SMP is amazing, the staff is great and I enjoy helping others have a good time on SMP (even if I am not using my own account).

First it was a pvp bloodbath, with Spartan, Relkeb, me and someone else killing each other.
Oh, and then we all got creative for some reason, and lavad/blew up spawn.
