Talking on mumble
« on: April 25, 2012, 03:40:59 am »
Hey there!

I have just spent a few hours on mumble chatting to some peeps, and wow. It's amazing to be able to literally talk to someone who knows about Minecraft and knows what I am talking about. It really is such a good system, and I really do recommend this to anyone who plays Opticraft. Not to get Trusted, but just to have fun and join into the conversation.

So, anyone made a good friend using mumble?

Mumble is great and yes you get to know the people better. I like all the regular users.

I also recommend it.

I feel bad that I couldn't join in on the conversation, but it was a very busy day for me-- Job-wise.

I'll be able to get one at some point tomorrow for sure ;)

I love mumble. I have met so many new people and made a good reputation while using it. Before I joined Opticraft I didn't know what mumble was, I just used teamspeak and Skype, but now that I used it, it is great! I try to go on ever day if I can.
Hope to see all of you on mumble!

I use mumble sometimes on weekends that I am able to use minecraft, mumble, etc.
I used to be more online in the past. A new channel "music" added where Nyssa plays some tracks..
I like joining it..

I recommend it, too. You have a lot of fun.
But, I am disappointed about something. All the Mod+ go on staff channel and you are never be able to speak on them.
I don't want to enter Skype and be separated on 3 programs, Skype, mumble, and minecraft.

They should really go onto the regular channels, because then we can get to know each other. As you said, all the staff go on the staff channel, and because we can't go on, we can't chat. If they want to get to know us, then they must go on the regular channels.

Mumble is one of my favourite things about opticraft, just talking to other people about minecraft or general things is great and a lot easier with it. A great way to communicate with different people around the world no matter who they are (unless of course being damn right immature), although I think there has to be some level of maturity which in some cases on mumble people have passed... Overall, one of my favourite things about opticraft :D

Also, the main reason I go into the staff channel at the moment is to talk about the new world.

I usually can't stand the constant talking so I just like to chill in the staff channel with some of my staff friends.
It isn't a requirement to be on mumble, so it's my choice whether I would like to be on staff or not.

I enjoy mumble a lot when I'm collaborating with someone on a project.  I've also made more than a few friends on Mumble, and I do believe it helped me get Trusted.  For me, the mumble experience could be better.  I find that there are too many;

- People using the SMP chat rooms when they're playing other games, like Starcraft.
- People with live microphones broadcasting everything and echoing other mumble users.
- People broadcasting their farts, burps, and other bodily functions.

More often than not I'll find myself either hanging out in the AFK channel, cause I really don't care to listen to the nonsense going on, or in the music channel listening to Nyssa's tunes.

Mumble is 90% offtopic.

Well, depending on what room, I couldn't agree more.
