Why does everyone say there's an economy problem?  There is NO economy in Opticraft because money is unlimited.  Just because you have a market where you can buy/sell doesn't mean you have an economy.  An economy means there is limited money available and it has to be balanced/managed carefully so a small group doesn't end up with all of it.  With an unlimited money supply everyone can be rich, which means the people with no money just aren't putting in the effort to earn it.  You can get rich selling cobble to the market, if you're dedicated enough, and never have to deal with another player.  Proof that there is NO economy, and thus NO economy problem.  You also can't balance an unlimited money supply.

To me a lottery would be kind of pointless, just due to the fact that those who are already rich can buy millions of tickets while those who are poor can only buy a few.  Sure, you'll have the odd poor person who wins millions, but the odds would state that most of the lottery would be just millionaires passing money around the table.  If you can limit the amount of tickets a person can buy, so people are only able to buy a couple per draw, it might actually make sense.
Tell that to fulcan :P

By posting it here I'm telling it to everyone.  The more people talk about the "economy" on Opticraft the dumber they look.  That's a fact.
Exatcly, IT'S A GAME!

we are in a little bit off topic but anyway I think nobody should become rich easily. Maybe the word "economy" isn't the right word in this situation but the point is to make earning money harder. Because, if everyone is rich, then there will be no value on being rich. There should be a tax or something which increases to the people who have more money then other people. Increasing the selling(you buy) prices in the market or decreasing the buying(you sell) prices in the market is unfair for the poor players while the tax idea is fair to decrease the distance between the rich people and poor people. This will also balance the "economy" you are talking about.

Thanks for reading :) If you like the idea I will post a topic for this in the suggestions.

I agree with the point that we don't have a true economy. The market is set with an unlimited amount of an item. A true market system would involve players selling to the market and players buying from the finite supply that has so far been collected by the market. Prices would rise and drop based on supply and demand (if we were running low on one item, the price would dramatically increase...and vice versa), and the whole system would be efficient. That would be a true economy.

Personally, I don't think our "economy" needs change because I like it just the way it is (for now). A lottery is kinda pointless unless its player-run, otherwise its just the server giving players more money. If we want a player-run economy, we must let the players run it (with little interaction from the server).
