I ment for beginners. Ones who start without strings to pull to get things. Like me. I started a melon farm, then some dude obliterated it. Then I made it a wheat farm, until some dude obliterated it. Quite difficult.

Everyone who's complaining that the server is too hard, you must have no idea how to play this game...
In my first 2 weeks of playing on Opticraft I had enough materials gathered to keep me self sufficient since, I barely even go mining anymore because of the sheer amount of cobblestone, iron, diamonds i have from previous trips...
Just spend some time to get a diamonds tool set, and go mine for an hour, you will be surprised how simple it is to be successful on this server...

With that I'm pretty sure you can't even die of hunger on this server, which makes this suggestion.... silly.

ohhhhh right i forgot about the starting pack, i died shortly after i got on the server so i didnt use much. it would take a lot more out of the term "survival server"...

not sure im allowed to say, but i didnt see it in the rules. im going to play it safe though, also they dont have it anymore, they have the WORST idea on wiping the map every 2 weeks or so, so its not there anymore either...

Agreed... Wait, after 2 weeks?  In my first 2 HOURS I had everything I needed to be self sufficient.  I went to the market, clicked once to buy melon seeds, once to buy wood, and once to buy cobble.  Then I went out to an open area, did a /sethome, placed the protection stone I was GIVEN by registering, and made a small melon farm.  Then I just kept harvesting.  (SELF SUFFICIENT) ... In no time I was grabbing more protection stones and quickly expanded my melon farm to 33x33.  Collecting 100% manually, mind you!  In under 2 hours I not only had a rotating income, I was starting to BUY materials for a shelter.

Hell, after 2 weeks I had a fortress built and 100% protected by PS stones.  But that's not the point.  I was self-sufficient in AN HOUR...  Anyone who says this server is hard doesn't know anything about playing Minecraft survival.

Ohhh. Yeah when I first started I just killed myself to get full hunger because I didn't have any food. Then I just sold dirt and cobble, then i got enough to buy 1 melon. I made A seed, and nowI have a melon farm enough to get me 1K-2K each harvest

There would be TONS of people at the spawn. It could also hurt the economy very badly.
