Hey there!

I regret to inform you all that unfortunately, as I do want to learn Java completely, I won't be going on the server AS MUCH. This does not mean I won't be on at all, just the fact that I won't be on as often as I would like to. The reason behind this is, although I like Opticraft, I want to learn Java without interruption. I want to get to really know the language, and once that's done, I am sure to come on as often as I usually do. Now, I may be on for longer at times than other, but overall, I won't be on the server for a long period (say 1 - 2 hours).

Once again I regret to inform you of this, but just in case any of you wondered, that is my perfectly reasonable response.

To be perfectly honest, I am learning Java simply to expand the realm of my knowledge and to be able to one day create some fully diverse Bukkit plugins. It has been a goal for me for quite some while now, and I really do wish to pursue this. Oh, and if any of you are interested in learning some really basic Java, go to the forum below:

The sole reason that anti-griefing plugins need MySQL is beause of the amount of data it needs to write. If it were to write this in a simple database, it would lag the server out completely. And that's on a server with < 10 people on it. Imagine the lag with > 150 people on a server like Opticraft, in addition with Dynmap. MySQL just makes things so much easier in my opinion.
