Guys? I suggest you go mine for a month, get 100K++. hen buy a medium p.s. and make your farm in floors.
I never do a project if a protection is not already set.
Result? I am 2 months now free of grief.
I get sometimes a little of grief but just that. Nothing serious..

Actually, now that the price dropped, PUMPKINS are the way to go. You don't need to craft them into blocks, and they grow faster

The speed is related to the light your farm has, and the environment.
I have a farm covered with water, and 100 mellons grow untill I farm 150. So, it is hell fast.

Well anyways pumpkins are overall better now, since the price of melons dropped. The only thing melons win is that they can be used as food

I havent farmed my mellons about 3 weeks.
I am so bored lately to farm.
If anyone is interested, I will give him 5k to farm them for me..

you guys know that pistons will harvest them right? no need to wear out ur tools with stickies, BUDs, this is super fast... will harvest while you work on you house or XP farm.

eh depends on the level of automation. you don't need them, but you can make it more efficient with them.
