What is the best way to charge for a house?

I'm building a city and I don't know if I should make citizens pay rent or should I do one flat rate? To people who would want to buy a house message me and tell me what you want. Also for the people who already have cities tell me what you do.

I give mine out for free. I find I'm much happier and its a lot easier that way. There is an expectation though for quailty building and help in the future.

Just put down a flat rate then after that let people hagle with you

you lets them pay for the house. You do not lets them out unless they.buy the house

I think you should have a flat rate but increase the price depending on the equiptment in the houses (etc...Is a un searched mine located in the house? or Does the house have an enchanting table?) and if they have extra items you increase the rent...Hope this helped!

I have made a fully protected 4-jungle tree, with 4 homes on it.
I sold the 2 for 20k each.
The one is on rent and one left since the person who was on rent, left to build new home.
