Title: Silk touch ores question

I know that you cant use silk touch to pick up coal, lapis, and diamod ores, but people say u cant pick up redstone ore either. If u have the answer, plz reply.

You can't use Silk Touch on redstone.

It's not a correct answer to the question.
There isn't actual reason so far why we can't use it. probably another protection stone will be added.
You never know. In order to avoid something in the future, they established that limitation.
Live with it.

BT, that was the correct answer. He wanted to know if you could use ST on redstone blocks, and FNV said you can't. The OP didn't ask for a reason.

I think Redstone Ores wont be good with PreciousStones because it turns from Redstone ore (73) into Glowing Redstone Ore (74)...
i may check it with my server.

optical could configure the block id to what you would want as a protection stone, wouldn't know whether it's the correct plugin that I'm on about. Maybe once the red-stone glows, it would prevent silk touch from working, who knows.
