Title: Nether wart problems

Ok so I recently started a nether wart farm. This was two days ago. I went back there last night to find that it had not grown at all. I have placed it on soul sand and it is in the nether. Anyone know why this is happening?

You have to be around it for it to grow, the chunk has to be loaded so just camp out in the nether for a bit

Agreed, it has to be in an active chunk for it to actually grow.  That's why most people will put their's close to a high traffic nether portal.
