I just think it would be kind if cool to have a protected area with animals. Near spawn of course. No usefulness but something interesting for newcomers.

I think that this has been suggested before.
I don't like having somthing like that, because it will remove the survival element on the server.

I'm with Spamarian on this one. Survival is all about learning, whether  it be through accident or well, death!

This would be a good idea for someone to build in a town/city but not in the spawn...
