Title: PS Trader
Post by: ViperZeroOne on June 23, 2012, 12:41:45 am
I'm not even sure if this is possible or not, but the idea just came to me.  Since people were duping PS stones and selling them back to the market, we've lost the ability to sell our old PS stones to the market.  In addition, a lot of people not using the small PS argue that the reason is they're saving up for larger ones.  All of that's fine with me, however, what if we could...

Trade in a bunch of small PS for larger PS?

That would make some sense, wouldn't it?  So new players start out with coal PS, buy more coal PS to cover more areas, then when they're ready to move up they can trade in those coal PS (say 8 maybe?) for a Lapis PS.  No cash involved, just a small stack of one PS turning into a larger PS.  Then they continue to grow their "empire" until they have enough Lapis PS, and can trade them in for a Diamond one.

To me, this would make a lot of sense.  But like I said, I dunno if it's even possible.

I find the idea amazing. Also, a mod did a suggestion! Didn't know if this would ever happen...

If people can duplicate the PS, then won't they just duplicate coal PS to get Loads of Lapiz and then Diamond?

I have no idea about PS duplication, so maybe I'm missing something.

It would be a lot cheaper to buy the larger PS to be honest.

You would need 64 coal PS to make 1 diamond PS size.
64x1500=96000

No point really, just adjust the positions of your coal ;)

And couldn't the dupers just dupe a bunch of coal one to get diamond ones?

Thats what i was saying in a round about way.

if they're able to duplicate, they may as well just make a bunch of gold blocks, sell them to the market, then buy a diamond ore ;)

They could, but that wasn't the issue.  The issue was duping the diamond PS to sell them back to the market and make millions in relatively no time at all.  That's why you can't sell PS on the market anymore.  They took it away because of a few jerkoffs.

Or duplicate any item and sell it back to the market.  The point of my topic though is I think it's time we found a way to "sell" PS on the market so we can upgrade them to larger PS instead of just having a bunch of our old PS sitting around in chests.

To me, this would make a lot of sense.  But like I said, I dunno if it's even possible.

Hell yeah this'd be possible. We could setup a command, such as /ps trade [Lapis / Diamond] that, when run, could check to see if the player has 8 coal / lapis PS stones to trade up to the further stone. Then we could modify the players' inventory and take out the 8 coal / lapis PS stones and put in 1 lapis / diamond PS stone.

It would be a lot cheaper to buy the larger PS to be honest.

So it'd be possible, but, y'know, a bit...inconvienient. In the long run, all you're doing is spending WAY more than you have to, so it's not really...worth it.

This is a better idea for a player to player transaction not player - server one I think.

So then you go by the cost of the item...  7/8 coal = 1 Lapis...  5 lapis = 1 diamond.
