Hello everyone! Today, I'm going to show you how to make sprite art.
So, what is sprite art? Sprite art is a recreation of a picture in Minecraft. Usually sprite art comes from old video games.
Now comes the next question: How do you make it? That's simple. First, find a picture you want to turn into sprite art. In this example, I'll use an 8-bit Pokeball.
(http://www.opticraft.net/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fpiq.codeus.net%2Fstatic%2Fmedia%2Fuserpics%2Fpiq_34040_400x400.png&hash=0c9191b7cdf20d373d41e6dcb1b5590c)
To turn this into Minecraft blocks, think of each pixel as one block. So each block we place should correspond with each pixel in the image. First, we want to outline the sprite, like this.

Then, fill in each individual pixel until it's done. Also, you'll notice that there are 2 shades of red in the sprite, but minecraft only has one shade of red. To get around this, we do what's called shadowing. For all of the pixels that are a darker shade of red, place a block in the same position, but high above the actual sprite. This will cast a shadow on the block in the sprite, making it a bit darker. This way, we can get colors that we couldn't get before. If you did it correctly, it should look like this:

And that's the basics! If you feel comfortable, you can make larger and more complicated sprites using this method. You never know what you can create until you try!

Nice tutorial for people who are non familiar at sprites ( Like me) :P
It tried it on single player... The outcome not so great xD

All you need for that is common sense.

If the pixels are big enough to see I think just about anyone can make an 8-Bit sprite

Still, it's a start, just for people who are not familiar on making one.

Well that's not so hard! I thought it was hard but i think Terrewees pixel art just scared me a bit...

Yeah, just start small, and work your way up to bigger things. Good luck!
