how do i start playing ? is there a download or do i have to do sumthing ?

You need to have bought Minecraft on your account to play SMP, if you already have download the client from www.minecraft.net and the server ip is smp.opticraft.net
 
To play classic (free, no purchase) go to http://www.minecraft.net/classic/list and search for Opticraft Dev Server, click the server will 1024 player slots and have fun. (i think minecraft might be down at the moment though...)
