Title: Maybe making mobs spawn more constantly?
Post by: LIEKABOWSE on August 01, 2012, 06:48:09 am
Ok listen.
It seems like in the GuestWorld mobs rarely spawn anymore, unless you have a monster spawner. Its almost impossible to see a group of skeletons in a desert as you would on singleplayer. I don't know if this is a plugin, or a setting, but either way, i don't like it.
It was fun back in '11 when I was playing as CyberSubZero running around with a wooden sword killing zombies.
Now it seems about as fun as playing on peaceful. Fix it, please? PLEASE?

This was investigated some time ago, and the problem is the math mojang used in the code for mob spawning.
As far as I know, here's how it works: Mobs can only spawn a certain amount in each multiple chunks, abd because there are hundreds on players running around multiple chunks, then mobs will get stuck in those chunks until they are killed or despawn.

Hopefully the 1.3 update will fix this (fingers crossed)
