I can't connect is anyone else having this problem?

but just play with the minecraft.net site
log in and play in browser
you can play then ;)

Yes, I believe people are having this problem as i am. I just checked the Mojang site and they said they are having problems with connecting to Minecraft.net, But they are trying to figure out what is happening and fix it. So please be patient. You're not the only one.

Classic does not require you to log in using that server if you use the World of Minecraft speed hack launcher you will be able to play Classic just fine. I am aware that the SMP servers were having problems connecting but that issue probably has been resolved by now.
