Title: How to use PMs!
Post by: jko831 on August 12, 2012, 11:48:51 am
To start chat with someone, use @name and NO message. Then, when you chat, you will automatically send messages to that person. Use /pm to stop chat with them and return to your previous chat channel.
If you have other commands that are WORKING, POST a reply!!!

To get in a private chat for example i type ex:/msg Italian_Crafter but make sure to type only the players name. Then every thing i say in chat will be in purple and seen by only that person. This is the easiest way for me and when i go back to global chat i can easily message them back from going in the chat log and entering it.

Another way to privataly chat with someone, is to use /tell or /whisper. It doesn't show in the "hard to miss" purple color, but it gets the job done.

Example: /tell iTz_Smurf Can you please come to my house?

                                or

Example /whisper iTz_Smurf When you get the chance, can you please help me out?

-Just thought I'd help out a bit on this topic.

Thanks jko831 & Italian_Crafter - Tips like these are extremely helpful!

I, for one have been trying to work out how to send these for ages without having to continuously retype "/t [name]" every time I wanted to speak privately to someone.
