So I downloaded Optifine, and looked up an installation vid on youtube. A bit out-dated, but I figured it'd be basically the same process. Apparently I've lost my MC folder though... Can't find it anywhere. I've never used any mods so far, except for a handful of texture packs, none of which I still use. I also downloaded MagicLauncher a few weeks ago, but haven't used it yet. Any pointers on an easy way to install Optifine?

Well you have magic launcher so you're in luck, just launch it and go to setup, point it to the optifine zip folder and click ok, then just launch magic launcher instead of your normal minecraft when you want to play

Well, that's convenient. Showed me where my .minecraft folder I couldn't find is too. Now let's see what kind of difference it makes!

Otherwise you can use a youtube guide!

Would MCPatcher work as well? I tried to use it, but it came up with an error. By the way, when I replied to this...it was so full of colour changes :o

Optifine and MCPatcher are incompatible since they both accomplish the same tasks-- Optifine just has more neat and helpful features.
