A poll is for a vote. Some people might want to add a vote to a topic.

Lets say I want to get a New computer I make a topic about the new computer and my options. I have £800 to spend but not sure whether to build or buy a pre made one. I make a poll with the question "New computer, Buy or make?" The options "buy" "make" and which ever gets the more votes wins the poll.

Of cause you wouldn't add a poll to a ban appeal or anything. It is mainly for OffTopic.

Hope this helps

We rarely put up polls on here, but polls are mainly used for public opinion on certain aspects of what is needed to be added or what changes people would like to see or if such changes are beneficial for the community.

Think of it as a way to voice your opinion on some issues regarding the server.

Again, we rarely ever use polls. More than likely, it will be the staff who will engage server-directed polls.
