Actually the voting list, although created for smp, is used by both smp and the classic server (more smp than classic though). So technically it is part of both.

What benefit are you getting on the classic server by voting? - The server lists we're on are for SMP/CMP/PVP servers, not classic servers; so the duty of the voting system is for SMP, not classic.
