Title: Necro-posting
Post by: NotABronie on December 01, 2012, 02:01:30 am
it has come to my attention that posting on topics that haven't been posted on for weeks or months and it seems looked down upon. may i ask what is so bad about it, or was there like an edict that said: no necro-posting

Bringing back topics that had served their purpose or that have become greatly inactive can be a little bothersome. If you really want to bring back an inactive topic, it needs to have a good reason for being brought back to the front page. Otherwise, it can be used as a way to increase post count by posting needless content in an inactive thread.

Again, you may bring inactive topics back, but do so with good reason.

Shouldn't it be the mods responsibility to lock these posts?

If we had the man-power to lock nearly 10,000+ inactive threads, we would.
