Today I bought 920 tickets and it only put half of those in the actual lottery. I lost money when i should have made it back. Can i please have my $40k back? because i should have made it back.

It's meant to do that...

To take a cut?
-
tickets are 100$ it only puts in 50$.

I think it would be cool if you did get 100% of the money you donate to it, being put in the pot. It makes the lottery a more worthwhile thing to enter.
-
No claw, then people could just put the money in and get it all, don't you realize how bad that would be? say the pot is 10k..... i want it, so I put in 300k. And win it all. it would make every single one rigged. that would suck. No one but rich people would ever win.
-
And lets say the pot is now 310k. I want it, so I put in 300k. And so does someone else. I don't see how it makes it rigged. And if someone say, puts in 900k, someone who puts in 100k still has a decent chance (Would you want a 10% chance to loose 900k?).

I figured the lottery was doing this about two weeks after its release and it has good reason to continue this way
-
Same here, I found that 2 weeks when the lottery was implemented.

You're only using an example that backs up your statement, you're not looking at the cons to this.
The current system stops exploiting of money, so don't question it.
-
the whole point of the lottery was to remove some money from the economy after the ridiculous melon and pumpkin farms and whatnot.
it did an OK job at the start.
-
Millions removed from the economy
-
Ah This Makes Very Good Sense To Have The Lottery In.

And 2crzy is not only using an example that backs up his statement?

cschurz, the way money is removed from the economy is by players going inactive. I believe the guy with the most money hasn't been on in 5 months, etc. The lottery might remove 8k (Generally around 1-3k pots, twice a day) a day. And I would be willing to bet that more than 8k is sold to the market each day.
At the start, the first 2-3 pots were 40kish (This is from memory, of course). I'm not sure if that one added 750 for each 1000 you gave it, but that one actually worked. On the other hand, it could just be people spending lots on this "new", "cool" system added to the game.

If only players could choose to not enter the lottery if they dont like how it works...... oh wait.
-
Sorry I didn't realize. Ok? LOL

Like no one does the lottery now-a-days...
