i have heard lots of stuff about you can have hacks on smp and also that you can't, so i have a question can you use the x-ray hack?

No, you cannot have any mods at all, especially X-Ray (except Optifine, that is allowed). By the way, this is the Classic section of the forums. Next time you want to post here (http://www.opticraft.net/index.php/board,46.0.html).
