Title: Enchanted books lose spell, still enchanted
Post by: MinerrBert on February 27, 2013, 05:05:41 pm: I am up to four books now that I have enchanted and have later lost the spell, but still show the book is enchanted.

Today I made several enchanted books and accidentally died. After spawning and opening my ender chest, I went from one enchanted book with no spell up to four.

Would love to find out how to keep them from getting wiped out if possible!!

Thank you for the help xNuzzy. I spend all my time in MC and not in the forums!

I found a link that explains how the bug happens; is it OK to post the link here to help others keep from wiping out their enchanted books?

Post by: Nyssa on March 01, 2013, 01:28:48 am: Unfortunately books in minecraft or bukkit (not sure which, I'd guess bukkit) are terribly buggy. It's not just enchanted books being wiped but also written books. Even the books from /rules eventually bug.
There's not much we can do about it so I'd suggest using them quickly as I'm not sure of the conditions they bug under.

Post by: Xeadin on March 01, 2013, 02:03:40 am: You can always check out the Minecraft Issue Tracker (https://mojang.atlassian.net/browse/MC) to find what you're looking for-- in this case, Bugged Enchantment Books. If they don't have this specific issue in there, file away this issue to them-- don't forget to specify that it's for MC 1.4.7, since they get a TON of snapshot issues as well.
