Ontopic, I don't really think this is needed.. I think the users format gets the point across.

No. :P

As LIEK said, there has been no problem up to now, player made formats are fine.

The natures of suggestions vary widely. Attempting to channel their diversity into a narrow format is futile.

Since the staff didnt respond, we should let them discuss it?

I don't see how we can effectively use this. In theory having a template to go off of sounds like a good idea. BUT since suggestions can vary so much and sometimes the way a wall of text is worded in favor of a suggestion could be the difference of it getting accepted or rejected.
Also if you look at the ban appeal section most of the bans appeals are made incorrectly. This just goes to show how well templates are actually used.

Well see, I find a major difference between people posting suggestions and ban appeals. The ban appeals come from (mostly) either new players who dont knowalmost ANY rules or from experienced players in rage. Suggestions are much calmer.

A lot of suggestions are made by new players. You have to consider all of the repeated topics we get.

because they dont read the suggestions portal (the thing that says: READ BEFORE POSTING)to see if there is a suggestion going on already like that

That's their own fault for doing so. That's also about as close to a suggestions format as we're gonna get, because, as stated eariler, if we try to tell people how to format their suggestions (in which case, there are THOUSANDS of different suggestions with different criteria), some of those suggestions are going to be oddly interpreted.

Templates should only be used where they make the most sense (Ban Appeals, for instance)-- templates for suggestions doesn't make sense.
