Title: Members Should Be Able to Lock and Remove Their Own Topics
Post by: Wyboth on April 05, 2013, 10:47:26 am
I just recently got promoted to builder, and noticed that I can no longer lock or remove my own topics. I was able to do this as a guest/recruit, but I can't anymore. I think builders, and all members for that matter, should have the ability to lock or remove their own topics. I see no reason why they shouldn't, but if you do, leave a comment and explain why.

You're right, they should. But there are a lot of permission issues with a number of the groups, this just being one of them.
Only Optical can fix them as far as I'm aware.

EDIT: You could request to have your rank lowered for the time being, until they're fixed.

That's okay, I'll keep my rank for now, but I do hope this gets fixed soon.

This is a good arguement, it would be nice to be able to lock your own topics, but what if someone found a way around that and hacked it, they could close countless threads and it would be a nausence to the staff. But then again, I asked for one of my threads to be closed a while back but it's still open, so.... I don't know really, there's an arguement to both sides.
