So, there have been a lot of dances and parties etc. happening lately, and
Exactly, at this rate we're gonna have a dance every week. It was fine when it was an annual event or as such not so often occuring, now it's ridiculous.
That's quite correct, so I though it would be better to organize something to do, maybe every 4 months 1 dance, since these are all crowded around celebration times and people go crazy trying to attend all of them. Maybe make an agenda?

There has?

Well, popman64 had a dance like 2 weeks ago (a small one). Mine was yesterday. The Autumn Ball and somebodies nightclub are around, but I don't think they have a date yet. Then there is ecoragall's Halloween thing. So really just 2-3 more, which I don't believe needs an agenda.

And dk do you even read "User events"????
Yes in fact I do. Not as much as others do, as I don't attend user events.
These events are organised by players, and are nothing official. Players can create and attend events as they please, that's what the user events board was created for. Scheduling user created events would go against the fact that they're user events, and you'd be slowly creeping into the whole 'official' aspect if we had to put such organisation into them.

There should be a sub-sub part for dances on that bit (A new section for dances)

I hope you're joking.

Dances are a user event (a type of one). If we were to make a sub-sub-board, we would need other boards for this as well, such as griefing ban appeals, spamming ban appeals etc.

There's too many dances
It was fine when it was an annual event or as such not so often occurring.
This would be more orgnized. Just create a stickied thread, with like month 1. 4 and 8 and 12, or maybe more during holidays. That would solve... July 13- summer dance. July 12- prom July 11- out of school dance
Those are too crowded, and as crab ponted out-
It was fine when it was an annual event or as such not so often occurring.

There should just be one or two dances a year. That would be nice.

Event tracker? You mean like this? (http://www.opticraft.net/index.php/board,60.0.html)

Indeed, there is too many.

There is one more above that page, "NightClub". Some of these don't even have names, they're just random dances.
On the other hand, I don't think we need a sub-sub-forum. Just keep dances going, if you think there is too many, like me, just don't attend them. Simple as that.

(Maybe we should do the same thing for suggestions)

just pointing out, you are organizing a dance as well.

Here's where I stand with all these dances. If you wish to attend them, good for you. But it shouldn't be our (Staff/Opti/etc.'s) responsibility to keep track of which ones you are going to attend; by saying "Sure I'll go" it should be your job to make sure you stay up to date on that particular topic in-case of a time change or something. There's always going to be a member who wants to throw a party so we shouldn't just say "Oh, that dance looks like it'll blow... *DELETE*" I'm sure that If we find that the whole first page is "Durr dance purty", "pancakes4dance", "dance dance revolution"; we will have to make some decisions...
(Dance dance revolution will stay though).

They are user events, so it is the users responsibility to keep track of them.
