Minecraft 2D MS Paint game

I've seen a few of these games around the official Minecraft forums so I thought I'd make my own map!


Rules and Guidlines

1 - Each civilisation starts off with a population of 3, and 2 buildings.

2 - A civilisation's population increases 3 each time you post.

3 - Each person can only post an update to their civilisation once per day.

4 - Never start a war with another person unless they said they want to war.

5 - Don't invade other people's work (unless in a war).

6 - Research for any project or technology takes at least two turns/days (the more advanced the technology or project the longer it takes).

7 - The deeper you are in the earth the longer it takes you to mine and/or research so plan accordingly.

8 - Provide a small back story to your civilisation of progress each turn (an example in my turn).



Very Important rules

1 - No creating natural disasters, (floods, fires etc.) I will do this every now and again.

2 - Never add any more natural resources into the game, (Iron, Diamonds etc.) I will add more minerals every now and again.

3 - If some one has accidenlty infringed one of these said rules please notify that person to fix it poliety!

4 - Use common sense and the scale, don't go using up half the world.

5 - Tobs will add any mobs whenever, no mobs to start off.

Right click on the person before's post and save it, open it and edit it in MS paint and add your civilisation according to the rules, and just save the edited file as .png for best quality!

The Tobsvillians

Three of the many Tobsvillians found themselves teleported by an evil wizard to a random area in a strange new world, they decided to start a new branch of their civilisation here. Begining with a fishing pier and a small house able to house 6 people they began their new life. Starting to research technology to mine rocks and ore began on the same day and was predicted to proceed for the next 2 days. They are still unsure if there are any other kind of life here.

This is kinda hard to do, Tobs...
I understand fun, simple forum games, but this is too complicated for the forums in my opinion.

Edit the picture and increase your civilisation day by day. If you don't want to do the game it's fine by me  ;)

Okay, let me try!

The Madridstas

The Madridstas, led by king Raul, fled their world in search for a new world because their old one was filled up with pollution.

The Madridstats builded a mini home that can suit 6 people, and is upgrading it.
They are try to research on the arts of the mining, and to do so, need 2 days.
The team also builded a fishing peer to get some fish.
While building thier home and eating the sugar canes, the group leader, King Raul, saw a group of people called "The Tobsvillians" on the other side of the river, and is desperatly building a ship at the moment to get in contact with these people.

1 little boy and 2 little girls are friends and were kicked out of their home by their parents on the same day, their favorite color is red and yellow and love bacon. They wondered the wilderness and found red and yellow flowers killed sheep and got their wool, then make a wool house by a stream that goes down into a cave, they almost lost one of the little girls in the stream, they hope to make their own family.

The Tobsvillians continue to extend their settlements, A tree was chopped down in order to make a samll builing to house the top of the mineshaft. Research continues about mining tools but they discovered out how to make a "spade". They used this to begin a small mineshaft and work is going well. Over the other side of the river, chief Tobs noticed moving blue spots - could this be other people?

The Madridstas are not going very well at learning the ways of mining...
They finished making a couple of boats, and upgraded their house, which can hold a whopping 15 people, and went forth to see the TobsVillians.
The Tobsvillians greeted Raul and his friend very nicely, and is hoping to prosper from this friendship.
Raul asks Chief Tobs if he wants to make a bridge, so forth that the villages will be connected.
Thanks to Tobs, he taught the Madridstas on how to make a mining shaft, and the Madridstas are building it at this moment.
"There will be search for new villages here in this world", said Raul, when he saw The Tobsvillians.

So what do you say, Tobs? ;)

DoomGuy, Geno, and Captain Falcon, under rule of liquid, have been given orders to set up fort and dominate this area. They Have set fort on a hill to give them the best defense capability. In time, if need be, they shall conquer other civilization in the area to complete their mission. For now, they focus thier attention on the nearby river...

and there was life.the goddes place three humans on the earth to worship her and live a happy life. they were granted recources to build a home and a additional building, wich was a watchtower. this was dicided by the person who took command ; Aria. ofcourse she helped her two friends, kenthor and lyren, to build, and emediately gained their trust. as she was the leader, the goddes placed a link with her. the first thing she said to her were the rules they have to live by: everything is allowed, if you get punnished you deserve it, and you cannot blame the goddes for your mistakes. by these rules they set up a camp on the side of a mountain. and started digging for more recources.

Terrewee did you save it as an .png file? It's kinda blurier than our other ones. Also use imgur.com because that's what we've been using and it's been great.

We have set up a mining facility in the cave we found down the river. We also started construction on a bunker to hold off any potential invaders. We see if the red fort down the hill wants to make a peace treaty. Three soldiers have arrived and joined the fort.

Chief Tobs and Raul's civilisations join and make a bride accross the deep water using all their knowledge. The Tobsvillians dig much deeper due to the research of the mining tools to be completed, but as they continue deeper they hear a hissing noise, they wonder what this could be...

The Madridstas thank Tobs and his team for the generous work they put on together.
Thanks to the Mining art they finished researched, they found a cheap but bad way to get up and down mineshafts, which is climbing up a yellow suspention rope. This way is also saving time in building, so the team does a lot of progess.
While they were building, they hear something dripping. What can this be? Water, it may?
The Madridstas are also building a statue of king Raul, which will take 2 turns to do.

as the goddes saw what aria did in one day, she decided to reward her with 3 friends. as they were deployed on the land aria welcomed them with open arms. this, how ever, brought up a problem. there were to view beds and there was need for more room. as a reaction, aria quickly orderd the construction of a new building. this was quickly done and they decided to expand the other buildings, giving them walkways and making them more comfortable. now they focus on recourses, wood especialy.

We have figured out how to mine a lot better and we've built a bridge through the river! We are going to explore new lands and try to expand there. There are 3 new members to our group.

as the trees were chopped down the people in the area wanted to join aria's group because they were amazed how fast she construced homes and gathered recources. the new people seemed alot smarter, so aria assigned them to improve the tools they used. the other people started to build another plateau for a building.

The Tobsvillians were hit with very dangerous news during the day, one brave miner decided to mine towards the hissing noise. He came face to face with a green hedge looking creature. Much to his suprise, it exploded and destroyed much of the mine. Two miners were trapped and Chief Tobs sees another of these creatures on the side of the hill near to another settlement. Research has begun on how to fix the broken mineshaft and free the trapped miners. No other news has been recieved about them at this time.

as the wood cutters were gathering wood, one of the woodcutters encounterd a camouflaged, four legged creature. this creature somehow exploded out of self defence, and the woodcutter died in the explotion. another wood cutter saw this and reported it to aria. she immedeatly created a militia and assigned kenthor as the leader, so they can keep the villagers safe. main while four persons appeared. they said they heard a explotion, and came to check it out. now they are guests untill the the next morning. aria also orderd to create a fire in order to memorize the fallen woodcutter.

More soldiers join the fort.
Rain huh... unless the sky starts raining bombs, my troops are can handle it.
The cement won't dry in the rain, so we're gonna have a bare cannon for a while.
The soldier has found a suitable place for a better mining facility and started building.
Troops up higher found more coal.
Supplies box came in, it contains enough rifles to go around.
Built a bridge so are friends on the hill can come up here.

aria orderd the construction of a great tower in the valey down hill, this was to be a sign to the goddes that they were doing good. the goddes directly decended mure humans to the earth, to help constructing. also there was placed a fire in memoral to the fallen woodcutter  and the dangers that the creature had. while this was build other humans came over the hill constructing a walkway up. these men were carrying strange stiks that made the same sound as the creature that exploded. the researchers finnished the improvement on the tools making them more durable and easyer to work with. they were facinated wy the sticks called 'rifles' and now try to coppy them. also aria and 2 men of the militia climbed the hill in order to make nagotiations anout the future.

After the explosion, the Tobsvillians named the creature a "Creeper" as that is what he did do the innocent miner. The Tobsvillians did a good job of patching up the mess the Creeper left and because of the new technology they were able to build bigger and better mines and buildings, they shared this knowledge with chief Raul. While a Tobsvillian was mourning at the grave of the lost miner, he noticed a glow on the hillside where the Creeper had been, he notified Chief Tobs immediately.

Right after hearing the boom, the Madridstas immediatly came to help.
The team mourns the loss of the miner, and came to see his grave. "It's a sad loss" says King Raul, saying it while seeing the miner getting buried. One member from the team will be an Ambassador for the Madridstas, and is helping at the moment with rebuilding the place where the creeper exploded.
The team found water underground! They builded an underground fort to house all the minerals taken while digging.
The team has also finished with the statue.
King Raul has also saw the light far away, and is asking with chief Tobs together to check what is there once the weather will easen up (King Raul has a crown on top of him)
Raul loves the support and the generosity of the Tobsvillians ;D

A bunch of wierd rock worshipping underground people named the diggers (so original) begin tunneling to add more space for a growing population. Nobody quite knows how they got done their in the first place, through the portal perhaps? Or could they be the inbred remnants of a team sent to explore the holes...

They probs have to move to a different area, natural recourses seem a little short and that portal looks a bit dodgy..;)

while aria was was buisy with the nagotiations, the wind took change and the watchtower was lit by the memoral fire. there was one casualty, now also being remembred by the memoral fire. the watchtower was quickly extinguished because the rain made the wood wet. mainwhile, the miners foun a easely burning recource. the researchers are now experimenting with this recource and try to make the "rifles" with it.

We finish the second mining facility, troops can move quickly between the two.
Strange that there's a lack of things to fight, other civilizations have there hands full with them.
Start construction on a barrack to house troops.
We offer a peace treaty to the people on the hill, we wait for there decision.
Mining is not as fast as we would like it, so we start on making drills for mining.

The Tobsvillians Continue to progress their work on the mines and two of them walk accross the valley to try and find out what the glow is on the hill. Chief Tobs realizes the weather seems to be holding up.

After the bad weather left a huge earthquake struck

a earthquake struck and all buildings are dammaged, so now they are renforced.
the mines are also in dab shape, so they are also being renforced.
on the other side, the leader, aria, returned with peace of the humans up hill.
the burned tower is deconstructed and now is a house.

The most of the Tobsvillians land was away from the shock but some parts of the mine were effected. They research on how to strengthen the walls. The two Tobsvillians reached the other civilisation and greet them.

the renforcing is completed and the builders also created a walk way to make it easyer to go up hill.
the miners found some more coal and the construction of the tower is also going smootly.
as some "Tobsvillians" came to the village, aria in person came to greet them and invited them for dinner.
as the people don't have much contacts with other humans, they are curious about the culture the "Tobsvillians" live by.

You just save the picture (as .png) and add your civilisation (making sure you go by the rules) and post the edited pic (using imgur.com to post it here.
Then just add a bit to each or every other day  :)

In the last few days, King Raul hasn't been feeling well.
He wouldn't get out of his bed and he didn't feel good, the people were worried.
A few days later, he didn't wake up from his sleep.
All the Madridstas made for him a grave, and weeped his death.
Even a few people from the Tobsvillians came to morn his death.
All work has been stopped for 2 days to remember King Raul's death.
The statue, that was once erected to honor King Raul, is now to remember him.

It should just become a beautyful holiday, and "Stahlharts" (how they were called later,) sat in a plane to fly to far countries. Because of a really bad storm the aircraft lost both engines and fell to the ground, mowing down a tree and a tower which was still in progress... fortunately just this tower slowed the plane down, before it crashed in the ground. Otherwise there would have been NO survivors. But like this there were a total of three people completetly unharmed. The first thing they had to do now, was getting food and shelter. And so they got cover at the nearby Civilisation (the one who owned the tower that got damaged), which furthermore helped to build them a house, so they could live on their own. That didn't took long. Now the Stahlharts got new missions to accomplice: such as looking for more survivors and making room for them. So, one searched, one gained wood to build and the last dicovered a cave where strange noise came out from.

aria orderd to help the stranded people, giving them food and shelter if necessary.
though they destroyed part of the tower it was easely repaired, but it slowed the proces of building.
also, the scientists finaly completed the "rifles", naming them after the head of the militia kenthor, they are called "kenth guns".
now the militia is equipped with these guns for the public safety.
the scientists are now trying to recreate the flying object that hit the tower.
there was also birth of 2 kids.

First success: 3 more Survivers found (Yeah!). Now all rooms in the House are full, but the construction of a bigger one already started. :) Now we search for more Survivors. Its pretty helpful that the plane stopped burning. We were able to get our hands at some pocket lights, some simple technology and we did catch some kerosine which the plane was leaking, but (thank god(dess)) din't catch fire. With this items we were able to dig as fast as our neighbors and to bring some light into the dark cave. Soon we had to ascertain, that those cave are sometimes dangerous, but the light keeps these monsters away. With this Knowledge we started to mine. We also do something for our environment... (yes we do^^) For that cut down-Tree we planted two new trees. But it will take a while for them to grow. And for last: A solitary House can make an excelent atmosphere for love. And some of us start to get real close to each other. *twink*

The Tobsvillians rested for a while, which not many of them had had the chance to to since they arrived in this place, and they noticed how much the landscape and inhabitants had changed during the time.

as much time passed the tower was finnished and the memoral fire was moved to a safer location.
nothing else realy happened.

I can't remember who said they wanted to stop, but those creepers was going to blow up their civilisation to end thier turns. So yeah, they'll go boom on the next turn of mine  ;)

After much arguments between the elders, and the problem with no leaders, they decided to ask the chief for help. After a lot of time of thinking, the chief thought up the idea that The Madridstas will join The Tobsvillians. This created much arguments in between the tribe, and they finally decided to join the Tobsvillians. All the players that were blue are now red, except for one, King Raul, which will always stay blue in his grave and his memorial stone.
