There is a huge difference between plagiarism (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Plagiarism#Sanctions_for_student_plagiarism) and research (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Research). Using wikipedia and other resources for research should be encouraged. Copying and pasting without actually understanding the material or the context is a bad idea. Even though I am sure that's not what you had intended to do, I thought I'd go to the bother of stating it.

My suggestion would be to actually read the book (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Strange_Case_of_Dr_Jekyll_and_Mr_Hyde). Writing the essay will then be very simple.

Are you really suggesting using Wikipedia for research?

Using Wikipedia to do research is a great idea imo. Most of the things you can find on Wikipedia are cited and all the facts can be checked. But as xoiiku stated, simply copying from the Wiki page itself without fact checking is where using Wikipedia can be bad.

Despite what they tell you, wikipedia is in fact a good resource for information, however you should always reference its citations, and not the page itself.
