Title: What Weapon Would You Use In A Zombie attack

Post by: clawstrider on May 18, 2011, 04:32:07 pm: A reliable assult rifle. Minigun = not enough ammo, Pistol = Too close range, Flamethrower = So little ammo. But you can probably get riot gear and a rifle from a city police station.

Post by: liquidcool24 on May 18, 2011, 04:36:03 pm: A machete doesn't have any effect on zombies and rifles... just suck! You don't have to worry about ammo because they'll all be dead(permanently) in a few second anyway. :P

Well a crossbow is harder to use TBH, and long reload for not much power ;)

Forget what you have seen in movies, i bet all you you would be way to scared to do anything. Lets face it, if a zombie attack happened, it wouldn't be worth living the rest of your life in fear and fighting all the time.

if i had to choose irl i'd choose a katana, because i'm trained in Kendo and the Niten Ichi Ryu.
so zombies wouldn't land a hand on me with a katana.
no idea where i'll find one though... i do have some swords in my house....

I think many people assume that if they can play CoD, they can fly planes, helicopters and shoot every weapon in history :o But then again, Pilot may well know how to fly a plane considering the name :)

but ive been obsessed with airplanes since i was a little boy studying them and their controls and what not. ive done many simulators and once when i was a litle boy i got to go in the cockpit of a southwest airlines plane and move the wings and everything
oh yeah and ive gotten so obssesed with the airforce that i have a 4 foot by 6 foot flag in my room

I've read the zombie survival guide a few times:

It is praised as "the best compact anti-zombie weapon on earth".

With a non-serrated edge, the blade allows you to easily slide it through the skull of the undead, destroying its brain. The brass knuckles provide more defense with the ability to crack a zombies spine with a swift blow to the neck, severing the brain from the body.

Although, having a 9mm pistol would be a suitable weapon to use as well, and keep the trench knife for back up. Having an assult rifle weighs you down eventually, and ammo is easier to come by for a pistol. It can get you out of tight situations and be stored/carried easily. Besides, the only time you would want to have to fire your weapon is when you absolutely have to. The last thing you want to do is attract loads of attention with the sound of gunfire.

Because you would run out of ammo in a few minutes, sort out the lengthy (compared to other guns) reloading time then shoot again, but by then be over run by zombies :P
