Title: Changing avi skin

I just bought minecraft. finally :D and i'm wondering how i change my skin? I've googled some and most of the things require download and i'm scared of getting a virus/trojan. Is there any legitimate ways to get skins? Also does anyone have a server for the full version of minecraft? :D i'd love to join ^^

You have to either download one or make your own.

You can always make your own skin, but if you want to change your skin to someone elses that you like, just type this in the address bar with their username in the <username>:

For example, my skin would be (epic zombie):
