average salary here in the us is about 36,764$ 3,000$ is not a lot.

I hope you realize that $3000 a month comes out to $36000. That is well above the poverty line but its still not a great amount of money.

On the other hand, Greece and USA had ALMOST the same salaries, before the crisis..
I dont believe that USA has now Basic salary -700 Euro- as Greece has in the moment.
And I mean per month!!!
