Title: Text colors

I guess it works for some but another person said they had the same thing happen.
Once i updated to 1.1 all the colors in the chat didn't work, like the ones for ranks, server news/notices.
Idk if this is something on my end or on the servers end but if anyone has any helpful info please post it.

Bump, i need ideas on what i can do, i've tried uninstalling/reinstalling java and minecraft and this also happens on minecraft.net

It works for me, I don't know what the problem is. Try backing up your .minecraft folder to your desktop then remove it from your %appdata% folder, if that works, just move your saves and texture packs into the new .minecraft folder. If it doesn't work, there is nothing I got to help.

Well I completely removed minecraft including the saves so I have no idea what it could be i guess ill try to remove java again.

I don't think it's java at all. It's most likely a client side bug.

So apparently my graphics card doesn't support the color? I don't know how reliable this theory is but I do have an Intel graphics card.

Your graphics card might have blown a certain fuse or something. It didn't break down completely but maybe it lost just a few colors. This is HIGHLY unlikely but it could've happened.
