Title: Server Videos
Post by: DeeKay on January 17, 2012, 03:12:50 pm
I guess this sort of counts as projects and creations so I'll post this here.
If you have any videos on Opticraft, post a link to it below, or you can edit this topic.

DK, your music i's a bit too repetitive to my liking, but I like both vids, tho Xeadin's is a little shaky.

Yes, I think yours was definitely better. I liked the coloring effect and how you included the warp towns (I should've thought of that... :-[ )

Xeadin, use the mouse smoothing button, less choppy movements will make it look nicer. Also, slower movements are nice aswell, and move up and down slower.

XDee was using the new Shadow mod right? It made the environment look alot nicer than a vanilla minecraft would be.

That's correct. I thought it would give the video a nice effect, with shadowing and all. I agree it does look alot better than the vanilla minecraft does, it even looks better than most HD texture packs.

I think I might try and do a "take two" video with better flight keys/ speeds and using the smooth mouse function.

You did say something about that texture pack causing quite a bit of lag during the recording, but I think it turned out nicely despite the lag. In fact, I think the slower pace gave it a more 'professional' appeal :)

Yeah I usually get about 50-100 FPS running Minecraft without any mods.
But I get about 8-12 FPS when using this mod, although you also need Optifine and HD texture pack loading thing, so I guess that would eat a bit of the FPS.

I didn't like how my first video turned out, so I made a second one to replace the other, lower quality video of mine. I took mr_mr_mr's advice and the smooth mouse did make a difference.

I still had some lag issues, but this one, I believe, turned out better. This one was also better planned, because hypercam doesn't like recording dark video

Enjoy (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lQreZ8mT2WI&feature=youtu.be) :)

(I still think xDeeKay's is better, but this is no competition)

It is very good. I like the music. But I think that some messgaes have no direct connection with the picture that comes next to each one.. I sell that you finished it with the night.. You could start it with the sun raise too. Just some ideas..

I didn't even know camtasia had video editing software, I though they only offered video capture software :)
