Title: Bypassing Blocked Sites
Post by: SalasCraft on February 01, 2012, 02:44:44 pm
As some of you know, some schools (in my case, my college campus) has blocked some websites. Mainly facebook, adult sites, and file sharing sites.

The point is, I have been dying to download something that I cannot download at home 'cause my internet is pretty lame, and it would take me a huge amount of time.

The download link is from a filesharing site, like fileserve, mediafire etc but as I said before they're blocked.

Do you guys know any way of bypassing this?

I have tried some proxy sites with no luck...

How about you don't try bypass it, and follow your school rules.
Or get a friend to download it from home, and bring it to you at school.

This is an odd coincidence because some guy at school was showing me how to disable all blocking on a computer today.  I think the way he did it was, just as the desktop was loading after logging in, he unplugged the internet cable in the back of the computer and then plugged it in straight away.  I don't bother with things like that because I am technologically inept and would probably blow up something, but it worked really well for him, he got on YouTube and Facebook etc. with no problem.

Bypassing these rules may result in losing your scholarship.

Go to an internet café or your local library & do the downloading there :P
