This morning when the server crashed there was a huge issue I was seeing while helping out with the questions while drowse dealt with difficult griefing. The chat was constantly being spammed so that it was hard to see all the issues she was being asked to fix. I was thinking that there could be a plugin for players to write tickets, and these tickets stay in a Long that mods+can access, with details about the problem. Mods then take the ticket resolve it and delete or move the ticket to a resolve area.

Interesting and useful!
I like this idea!

I am not sure how easy this would be to code in but it does sound like a great idea :)

I saw this on bukkit:

Seems like a good idea...as long as that isn't spammed either. ;)

Its a good idea but we already have helpOp wich kind of does the same thing...
-
oh yes, helpop is useful
-
Nobody knows about /helpop

When I was temp oping in classic I used to use the IRC for this. The ticket suggestion is probably more efficient in the sense that there is less chat spam but if Optic isn't able to install something like this anytime soon, I suggest make full use of the IRC.

definitely a good idea especially when there's over 100 people on the server at once, and only 1 or 2 mods.

Very useful idea.
I was also thinking, if a right hand chat box could appear for events/commands, so they don't get lost in the text?
Currently, I get send some money, or a personal message, but it goes too quickly... would be nice if they got stored or appeared some place else?
thanks

Only Mojang can change that, or mods, as that is client side. The server can't change any of that.

Yeah I see that problem.
I notice other servers have more colour-coded messages, as well as [L] local and [W] world chats?
This may clear some of the chat

i have seen this on another server as /modreq <message> you then get but on the list and when it is your turn the mod/op comes to help, also from what i know helpop is more of a pm but to every mod/op. mods/ops are able to bring up the current /modreq message by typing a command and you can only have one /modreq running at a time to prevent spam
