Title: Unable to connect with mumble to mumble.opticraft.net
Post by: bigbeno37 on March 09, 2012, 05:27:19 am
Hi there!

I have been trying to get Mumble to connect to OptiCraft for ages and ages now, and it just keeps timing out. The address is exactly mumble.opticraft.net, directly copied and pasted from this site. The port is 64738, and I just do not know what to do about this. I have restarted twice, rebooted the router, re installed Mumble, etc. etc. but it won't work. Please help!

Try to type it instead of copying it. That might be why.

Your may have an option from your router that won't let you connect to certain ports?
other than that, try adding mumble past the firewall (if you even have that on)

Ok, now its saying that the remote host closed the connection. Does this mean that the mumble server is full or something?

No, we average out about 20 people per day, which is not the max limit.

It usually means that you don't have proper internet connection to the server. This could be due to your firewall blocking the program or the VOiP port is not enabled on your router.

See what your internet provider is, and login into the internet controll panel (VIA internet) and you'd be able to turn off anything that's blocking you from connecting.
