Title: Redstone and Logic Gates
Post by: Xeadin on March 12, 2012, 08:31:35 pm
Seems as though not many people understand how redstone circuits and logic gates work, so if you have any questions on what they are or how they work, or need some demonstrations, come talk to me or anyone else-- we'll be happy to help you answer any questions you may have or figure out problems you might have with your circuits.

Logic Gates might appear simple, but it's a bit more complex than you might think when it gets to more complex circuits and linking different gates together.

Input/Output Gate: What it says on the tin. It is a lever, that when you flick it, gives a current on the green wire.

NOT Gate (Inverter): It does the opposite of Input/Output. When you flick the lever on, it goes off, and off, it goes on. This is more useful with buttons, (Example a piston door).

AND Gate: You have to turn both levers on to get it to work. One or neither won't do it.

OR Gate: Press either lever (Or both) turns it on.

XOR Gate: I don't even...

*I will finish this after school. Feel free to edit this*

If i had any idea what that means, i would think that would help by far :P

With each of the pictures you should really put maybe basic things they would be used for and maybe a little about something else, because I don't understand redstone any better just looking at pictures and the names. =p

Your missing the flip-flop xP, flip flop allows buttons to act like a lever.
