Title: minestatus.net Voting Issue
Post by: Your_Mine on March 14, 2012, 06:09:47 pm
While trying to vote for the server today, I experienced difficulty getting the captcha for minestatus.net to load. After several attempts, it finally loaded. But when I clicked vote, the Opticraft page redirected to the main page, with this error message:

This server has been disabled by Minestatus. Reason: Circumventing the vote page on Minestatus, abusing anti-automation challenge to proxy the CAPTCHA onto their website.
Just an FYI, not sure if it can fixed or not. Looks like we may have to go back to the old voting system for that site.

I presume this is the bottom voting server, as it's playing up and won't load :/

hmm well that doesn't sound good. hopefully, we'll get this resolved. You think someone reported us for this or the staff actually checked the server out on their own?

I am getting the same error.

I guess the proxy thingy explains it all

We are in the middle of resolving this issue. According to optical, this should not be happening. He will be contacting them to see what the underlying issue is.

This issue has been resolved. Apparently, minestatus.net did not like us having the Captcha forwarded onto our website, so (like XtremeTop100) you have to input the Captcha onto their website, which shouldn't be too much of a big deal ;)
