Title: Protection Stone Glitch

Whenever I place any type of protection stone or use the /ps visualize command my minecraft screen turns gray and then
blacks out . Any ideas on what causes this and how to fix it?

now that's a new development....

try restarting your minecraft client? or maybe your internet modem/router?
