I've been playing this game for a year now, This was supposed to be a patch, but is coming out a DLC just because the mod is much more done, with so many new updates!
If you're getting this game, participate with us in MASSIVE line battles up to 250 people real people organized to form Historical regiments with a colour guard, musicians (Who play music synced with other musicians) and many types of infantry, officers, sergeants, ensigns, engineers and many more! Also has cavalry, & cannons! (even has the highlanders) 4 major factions, Austria, Prussia, France, And the United Kingdom.
An enhanced melee system (Blocking from any direction) a MASSIVE community (over 500 copies were sold within the 30 minutes)
If anyone's interested in getting the game, I'll be the first to recruit you to our french regiment! Our regiment is recruiting people aged 16+ (Preferably 18+)

Mount and Blade - Amazing
Mount and Blade: Warband - Amazing + the Warband
Mount and Blade: With Fire and Sword - Ohshit, guns... How does that imbalance the game?
Its like the Total War series all over again (Yes, I'm looking at you Napolean) D:
Good game + guns = bad game

Have you been to a linebattle? Napoleonic wars was the mount & musket mod for warband, but instead of patching the mod, they made it into a DLC, and it's really worth the 10$ We have linebattles almost every day on that game. Our regiment attends at least two a week.
And guns on this mod aren't imbalanced, Takes about 30 seconds to load, can't walk while reloading. It's not like Fire and sword at all. I regret buying F&S after playing the MM mod. Just watch videos on this mod and think for yourself.

best 10$ I spent in my life, and over 1000 people agree with me. Remember that it's only a DLC, so you need Mount & Blade Warband first.

That actually looks awesome, I'm not sure whether it's worth it for me though as I'd have to buy the game and the expansion pack.

The regular mount & blade alone has numerous mods, from MMOs to very good singleplayer storylines. Plus there's a sale on steam (That won't last much longer) You can get mount & blade, Mount & Blade warband, AND fire & sword for about 7$ (Warband & Fire&sword usually cost 20$ each, and M&B costs 10$)
So you could get it through the sale, then buy Napoleonic warsfor 10$. So it's all of them for 7$ :D

I'm incapable of resisting deals (especially -75% deals) so I went ahead and bought the collection, still need some convincing before I blow another tenner on the dlc though.

Oh God, you're tempting me with all this, I think I'll steady my hand and wait for a deal on the dlc for now as I have the full version of minecraft and all the mount & blades that I just got to be getting on with.

I don't think the DLC is going to discount...they almost never discount. Other than that It's worth it, It's only Nine 1$'s and 99 cents! :P

Just been playing a lil "With Fire and Sword", I read there was an unofficial napoleonic era mod. I might check that out before I buy the real one. £7.99 seems like a lot considering I got a game and two expansion packs for 6 quid...

There's the Mount & Musket mod. Which is basically the NW DLC, but the MM mod has been going on for a year, and was the most successful mod, so Instead of slowly patching the mod, they worked on it for a year, greatly improved it & made it into a DLC. Anyone who's been playing Mount & musket doesn't regret buying the DLC, just because of it's awesomeness. other than that, my friend and I are creating a regiment. The Nr.4 Deutschemeister regiment. And we're looking for recruits ;)

That's just the beginning. You can have wheat or flowers stuck in your mouth, pipes, earrings, and a huge variety of awesome BEARDS.
This DLC is truly worth the cost. Anyone who sees this thread can become one of the many new members to the NW community; you won't be disappointed. Mainly because the whole lure to the game is the fact that most of the community is organized into regiments that fight huge battles (250 people) and against one another in intense 1v1 matches. For example, here is the link to my regiment (Le Bataillon des Marins de la Garde Impériale) page on the NW forums: http://forums.taleworlds.com/index.php/topic,222903.0.htmlurl This is one of many, many recognized and active regiments in the community. To gain the full experience of the DLC, I highly recommend joining a regiment, as that is your ticket into the huge community events.
