I don't know exactly why, but I'd assume its because with the auto-melon farms, you can get tons and tons of 'em and just sell them and get a huge sum of money.

Well at least now you have all that food. And you can still sell the melons, or even trade with other interested players. Perhaps you could make glistering melons and make those into potions!

Yes, Nick just halved the sell price for melons due to the amount of money people were earning from automatic melon farms.

Well I wish they would have told us ahead of time that they were going to change the price because I spend all my materials in making a farm and not its kind of a waste.

This makes Pumpkins the new money maker, if my maths is correct, (I do suck at maths though)

I have 420 melons that when broken onaverage give me 4 slices, then I need 9 slices per melon.

So 420 * 4 = 1680
1680 / 9 =  186.6
186.6 / 64 = 2.91
2.91 * 480 = $1396.8

I have 420 Pumpins, once broken remainn whole.

So 420 / 64 = 6.5
6.5 * 320 = $2100

Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong :)
