Hey there!
I am a bit bored with the default Minecraft texture pack and am wondering which texture pack, in your opinion of course, is best suited for around Opticraft. I have seen DokuCraft, but is that the best? Oh, by the way, the maximum resolution has to be 64x64, as my computer will lag down to around 10 FPS with anything higher.

misas is the best

What arsenic_shark uses (http://www.planetminecraft.com/texture_pack/ocd-pack/)

I have an old laptop that I run Sphax PureBDcraft on, I use the 64x64 without a drop in frames, idk how lol. HOORAY FOR SHINY BLUE LINKS! (http://bdcraft.net/)

Precisly Portal. Y u no having link?!

I use Sphaxcraft and sometimes Hd versions of the default texture.

I have several packs I swap with, depending on what I'm doing, viewing, etc. For 64 x 64, http://www.planetminecraft.com/texture_pack/ovos-rustic-pack/ is one of my favorites. http://www.planetminecraft.com/texture_pack/misas-realistic-texture-pack/ is also great, but it may cause more lag than ovos.

Here is a dumb question: what is the size for each texture for hd texture packs? ??? Also can someone please explain me how to download hd texture packs in pm?

I use SMP's Revival Texture Pack (http://www.planetminecraft.com/texture_pack/smps-revival-texture-pack/).

Well, when someone says something is the "best" it's usually their opinion. Keep that in mind for all things in life. It's personal preference when it comes to textures. I asked about it in-game to see what everyone was using. Some great recommendations. Inspiration is good, PureBDcraft, Doku Light, & what I'm currently using is DokuCraft High. I got so used to the look, it's hard to change. I have many textures packs loaded, but that's my go-to. When I'm feeling randy, and get a wild hair, I'll switch for a couple of hours to something else. Good luck, & have fun. Searching for textures is like searching for skins, so many choices.
A few more recommendations I'll shout out is the Super Mario texture pack & default HD. So, so many out there. You'll find what you like.

If by size, you mean resolution, that depends on the texture pack. As for installation, here's the usual instructions:
1) Download the texture pack
2) Launch Minecraft, click Mods and Texture Packs > Open texture pack folder
3) Move the zipped texture pack *as it is* (don't decompress) into that /texturepack/ folder.
4) Download MCPatcher
5) Click Patch
6) Run Minecraft and select the texture pack in Mods and Texture Packs
7) If you run into issues/crashes, please head to the MCPatcher thread, read the detailed instructions there and if it doesn't help, ask for support in the thread. If you are unable to solve the issue, just delete the texture pack.
8) Don't forget that you'll have to patch again for each version of Minecraft. (With the up-to-date MCPatcher)
