Title: Where is monster spawn disabled?

I know its disabled on pressure plates, but is it disabled anywhere like at a certain height, area, etc?

Where are all the places and conditions in which monsters will spawn?

not at any height, but they dont spawn on glass glowstone ect. or half slabs!

Well, those are by default. I'm talking about server-specific disables that optical put in. Like spawning on pressure plates.
