I am building a city and there is a house in my way. I put a sign up saying I would like to build where his house is, but he hasn't replied. I was wondering if I build over the house, but leave the house under my city. Is that grieving?
-
If came back from a couple days off of minecraft to see someone built their town over my house, I'd be pissed. How would you feel? Leaving a sign is nice, but if no response you think you should continue? I don't think so. Maybe yoU should build further around it or use another area. We're a community, remember that.
Best thing to do is ask an op if it's abandoned. Otherwise, I strongly suggest not building too close. Leave him a nice buffer zone. Just my opinion.
-
Ok I wasn't planning on building there for a while. So I just ask an op in-game if it's abandoned?
-
Yes in game or really you could ask on here but it would take longer for a response, most likely.
-
a building is not quickly considered abandoned tho
you can ask any blue names, but it is most likely not going to happen
try searching for another spot
-
You know, I actually agree with kascas. It's hard to determine abandoned, what if the user returns in a month? It's a great idea to know our structures would remain while being away for a long time. I would strongly suggest moving your planned town elsewhere. Build where there is actually room and no existing structure.
-
You could'replicate the house some distance away, and if a mod supports you, he could move the chests and furnaces or what not. Just a thought.
-
In theory, that sounds okay, but the chances he'd get it 100% is not likely. There could be underground rooms he doesn't see or a spawner he built his house over, etc. I doubt the mods would move someone's whole house just because someone else wants to build a town they haven't started on.

Well that worked for me with dedlymagik (Nyssa) she unlocked like 10 things and even let me keep them becuase the player had been banned. So I'm sure Dedly will help this guy out.
-
I really like dedlymagik she has always been the most kind to me. A great resolution, I'm glad to hear. Makes sense, if a player is banned. I hadn't even thought of that possibility. Good, good stuff. I'm glad it was resolved, good luck on your town.
Mopar, I thought you were original poster. D'oh! I will wait to see what Rytovius finds out, I hope he finds a similar resolution!
-
Well one, its not really a town, my mistake. Its not open to anyone, even if they pay. Only people I trust. And two, what do you mean an original poster?
-
I was mistaken in thinking you were the original poster who started the thread. That's why I had mentioned a town. I confused the two. Sorry bout that.
-
Oh lol yeah I prefer to really try to resolve all my problems in-game I don't often refer to the Forums.
But as of right now, I have no computer, only a Motorola Xoom tablet, so I can't play minecraft :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( THE TORTURE

So can I build a wall next to it?

Ok great

If it truly is an abandoned house, and you want to destroy it, keep ALL the resources in a chest, just in case someone comes back and says they want there house. Lol

Ya I will be fine I just built a wall to stop them
