Title: Silk touch + protection stones

If I use my silk touch pickaxe on coal or diamond can I use that coal ore as a protection stone?

It won't let you. Silk touch on ores has been disabled.

You could use it for stone, instead of wasting time/coal for the Stove.

i got a silk touch pickaxe with unbreaking III
if you want it ,offer on the server
player = Ivy2112
the offer start at 15k

You cannot get Protection Stones from mining ores with a Silktouch pickaxe...This also means Redstone ore cannot be mined to get a Redstone ore...Sorry mate, you'll need to save up for some PS's.  :)

Actually, now the best pix is fortune in the server since the price in mellons, dropped.
Silk touch can be used only for personal use and not for benefit.
But, fortune is the only that can provde you a LOT of money with a wierd way..:P

Fortune is what I go for everytime, generally if I get a silk touch ill sell it
