Box O Goodies -Idea

Hey guys just thought of something that might sound enjoyable to people.
Box O' Goodies is a piece of obsidian that you set and you break to get a random item. There can be small, medium, large "boxes" and to use them, you place the box down and you break it. This might be fairly easy to code because you can change the entity after you break the box. For example a large could be $8000 and range from 64 stack of diamonds to 30 sticky pistons, or something like that
Just a thought xD i would love this to be implemented.
If it does, E1ectrik's Box O' Goodies has a nice ring to it

So... Obsidian = Lots of crate things = FREE DIMONDS

Instead of Obsidian, You could make it a red-stone ore, So it could be something like the protection stone idea. You can still mine red-stone willy-nilly, but the ore would be a market only item. That would solve the problem. I also suggest a wider range to up the risk.

So what would you use for the other size boxes?

This item would be a market only item and reselling across players should be a bannable offense. Thus avoiding scam

Also the box could be the same item but gives out different items if that makes sense. i.e. small gives a stack  ofwood, whereas medium gives a 4 blocks of diamonds

4 DIAMOND BLOCKS!? You'll end up screwing up the economy!
If they were to give out that much wouldn't you have to price them insanely high.

Well again its a "random" prize. I dont know, haha i think it would be a cool addition to SMP, one more thing Opticraft has that you dont! (at other servers) ^^

People already do this. I know someone who doesn't mine, doesn't gather resources, NOTHING. He just watches his melons grow. BUYS ALL of his materials. I personally think that's boring, but those plugins [market, economy] are there for a reason. It's a survival server, but not a vanilla survival server. Point is, people already only buy their supplies.

But I don't like this goodies idea, though. 64 diamonds? Wow. Surprises are fun, but the best surprise in-game is mine, mine, mine, diamonds! Mine, mine, mine, gold!

This server really isn't a survival server. It has hearts, and mobs but you can just tp home or something. I think we should add lots of non survival ideas like these.
