       Just curious, how do you choose what team gets the points? You said it was auto but how would you set it up?

it is explained in the how does it work section

basicly its a soccer like league with 1v1 matches to get points
league ends after 7 matches (7days)
to score a point you need to win the match

there will be a random number drawn every day, the team closest to the number gets a point
the team with the same number as the draw gets a bonus point
