hi opticraft,

today , I'm gonna write about the idea I got yesterday.
We can put a plug-in which when you kill a mob,you earn money, like 1$.
the economy will increase and it will be more nice for the new who want to make money!
There will have more farmer and more player.
Because I remember two years ago , there were 50 persons connected in the morning... now 10 maximum. (hour of quebec)
maybe it will increase the population in the morning and for all day long!

I've actually seen this work on servers, We'd probably have to code our own plugin for it though.  The biggest issue is people using mob farms, which that can be avoided as an issue by making consecutive kills of the same mob earn less, or have it only pay X amount per X time, then have a cooldown period.

The only way I make money right now is by begging, or selling a stack of cobblestone for TEN DOLLARS.

I agree. There's almost no new money from the market anymore, so 20 active people are rich because they've played since the server started (#melonpumpkincactusfarms) and everyone else has below 50k. Well, that's an exaggeration, but, y'know...

That's a very common misconception that people on the baltop used melon/pumpkin/cactus farms. If you check the blatop every so often, you'll notice the players balances there are always changing. Find new ways to earn money if that's really what you're goal is on the server.

I've been on a server with this and it worked out well.  Also where I'm usually at plenty of mobs spawn.

2crzu4uall , I know people will farm spawner but people who will find the spawner can sell it really high.
And for the mob .50 is perfect ,same if you farm you will not earn so much money

I like the idea, I just think people will be able to spam for it though, (Enderman Farms). All the people who care about money, will most likely abuse it to get richer. Some people have killed thousands of enderman on the server. But hey, it isn't like they would get millions unless if you are gavin.

I would make the cooldown period a little more, just because. I've been on many servers where things like this have like a 256 second cool down period.

How about naturally spawned mobs give a reasonable amount of money, while mobs within a certain range of a spawner give very little money? Like maybe only 20% of what you would normally earn. Similar to what crzy said, by the time you kill 5 zombies via spawner you will earn the same amount as you would in the time it would take for you to find a natural zombie.
